Prime Minister Ehud Olmert today visited the Weizmann Institute of Science (http://www.weizmann.ac.il/) in Rehovot, on the occasion of International Science Day , which occurs this week.
Prime Minister Olmert met with Prof. Ada Yonat, winner of the 2008 L’OREAL-UNESCO Award for Women in Science (http://tinyurl.com/2zakjz), Weizmann Institute President Prof. Daniel Zajfman and Institute representatives. He discussed – inter alia – the issue of greater budgetary involvement by the Government.
Prime Minister Olmert also met with students in the Active Science Group and commended both program and its level of studies, as well as the students’ involvement.
