Prime Minister Ehud Olmert dedicated the Tel Acre tourist project, which present Acre's rich history to visitors, and was briefed on tourism developments in Acre. Acre Mayor Shimon Lankry, Prime Minister's Office Director-General Ra'anan Dinur, Israel Antiquities Authority Director Shuka Dorfman and other senior officials also attended the ceremony. The Prime Minister praised the project and its significance for Acre.
Prime Minister Olmert was also briefed on the project to redevelop Acre's main street, Ben Ami Street, and visited a neighborhood being built for IDF veterans. He noted the significance of both projects to Acre's future development.
