Prime Minister Ariel Sharon has instructed that in Sunday's 23.2.2003
cabinet meeting, the government will decide whether to declare Sderot a
community on the confrontation line, according to the guidelines applied
to northern cities.
The Director-General of the Prime Minister's Bureau, Avigdor Yitzchaki,
spoke today with Sderot Mayor, Eli Moyal, and informed him of the Prime
Minister's decision.
A team from the Prime Minister's Bureau will visit Sderot next week, in
order to coordinate with the Sderot municipality.
