Prime Minister Ariel Sharon met  with Opposition Chairman Shinui MK Joseph (Tommy) Lapid in order to update him on diplomatic developments, especially those which have occurred since the Sharm el-Sheikh summit earlier this week.

The two men also discussed political issues, the 2005 state budget and the idea of a referendum.
