Prime Minister Ariel Sharon spoke this afternoon, with Palestinian Authority (PA) Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, who had telephoned in order to wish the Prime Minister a good and successful New Year.
Prime Minister Sharon greeted PA Chairman Abbas and the Palestinian people on the occasion of Ramadan.  The two leaders expressed the hope that the New Year will be more successful, as well as a year of peace and hope.  They agreed to enhance cooperation between them and to work together in order to advance the process.  They also agreed to meet soon in order to advance various issues on the agenda.
