Prime Minister Ehud Olmert met last night with representatives of Citigroup Inc.

Prime Minister Olmert discussed with them Israel's economic development in the recent years, especially the past year's impressive 5% expansion.

Sanford I. Weill, Chairman Emeritus of Citigroup Inc., told the Prime Minister that he is very pleased with the Government's economic reforms and offered his assistance in bringing foreign investors.

Prime Minister Olmert emphasized the importance of bringing these investors to Israel saying, "The world is aware that Silicon Valley and Israel are two major sources in which good ideas and innovations flourish."
