Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, yesterday and today spoke with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, British Prime Minister Tony Blair and French President Jacques Chirac and updated them on the results of his recent meeting with Palestinian Authority (PA) President Mahmoud Abbas and US Secretary of State Dr. Condoleeza Rice.

 
Prime Minister Olmert reiterated Israel’s position that the Government of Israel will not recognize any Palestinian government that does not fulfill the international community’s conditions.  The Prime Minister further emphasized that he intends to continue holding talks on the bilateral track with PA President Abbas on issues regarding the war against terrorism and the quality of life of the Palestinian population.
