The Cabinet, at its weekly meeting today approved two major national projects on environmental and leisure/recreational issues (http://tinyurl.com/2w6xym) – the development of bicycle paths throughout the country and establishing/upgrading camping sites throughout the country. Today’s Cabinet meeting was held at Beit Shearim National Park (http://tinyurl.com/36qz8c). Prime Minister Ehud Olmert noted that, “While linking leisure culture and recreation with green and environmental issues is only natural, additional Cabinet meetings must be dedicated to issues such as water, alternative energy and environmental protection. Today marked a successful start and I am certain that we will continue dealing with the issue.” After the meeting, Prime Minister Olmert toured the Mishmar Hacarmel Farm (http://tinyurl.com/2dh9g6).
