Prime Minister Ehud Olmert made the following remarks today, regarding the passing of Abie Nathan:

"It was with great sorrow that I heard about his passing after having suffered from a severe illness in recent years. 

Abie Nathan loved life, people and peace.  He painted Israeli society with a unique shade of humanity and compassion and it is in this light that we will lovingly cherish his memory."
