Prime Minister Ehud Olmert today, phoned Israeli wind-surfer Shahar Tzubari, in Beijing, to congratulate him upon his winning an Olympic bronze medal in the "Neil Pryde" category windsurfing competition.
Prime Minister Olmert's conversation:
"Shahar, hello, you made us so happy. I followed you the entire ten days and did not cease to be astonished by your composure, peace-of-mind, self-confidence and the inner-feeling which you transmitted to us that you would ultimately win a medal.
"You have no idea how exciting it is. I am looking at you now on the television screen and I see that you are standing and waving a flag. You should know that many tears of joy are flowing from Israeli eyes.
Okay. Just take care of yourself and your future is before you, and Israel's future lays ahead and everything will be fine. May you have continued success."
