The Council acts to commemorate Israel’s presidents and prime minister.
The Council is charged with the preparing of a commemoration plan for presidents and prime ministers, and to determine the public bodies performing the commemoration activity wish government support, taking into account the personality and acts of the figure commemorated, and subject to government approval.
The Council is to supervise the execution of commemoration plans and report its findings to the Government, along with its recommendations. The Council is authorized to obtain information and demand documents from any body engaged in commemoration activity with government founding or support. |
